| Esker SA | Legacy | Esker Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Parts Town implemented Esker Accounts Payable to address rapid growth-driven strain on its accounts payable processes. The deployment targeted the company’s AP function after years of primarily manual data entry and using Outlook as an invoicing queue, and it was positioned as an AP Automation initiative to create a sustainable, scalable alternative.
The Esker Accounts Payable implementation delivered end-to-end AP Automation capabilities including automated invoice capture and data entry, electronic routing for approval, and centralized controls to enforce approval workflows and visibility. Configuration emphasized invoice throughput and early payment discount capture, while routing and accountability features replaced informal email-based queues.
The AP program built on Esker’s existing role at Parts Town, where Esker had previously automated order-to-cash processes including order management and accounts receivable, and it was implemented alongside the company’s SYSPRO ERP environment to align document processing across financial workflows. Operational scope centered on the accounting and AP teams, extending process standardization across the finance function without specifying third-party integrators.
Governance changes focused on formalizing approval workflows and adding transparency and accountability for expense routing, reflecting the accounting manager’s observation that routine billings were previously processed without controls. Outcomes reported by Parts Town from the Esker Accounts Payable deployment include generating over $30,000 in added savings per month, capturing 50 percent more early payment discounts, a 60 percent increase in productivity per user, and sustaining 30 percent company growth without increasing headcount.

| Dayforce | Legacy | Ceridian Dayforce HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
Parts Town implemented Ceridian Dayforce HCM in 2018 to replace a legacy HR system, selecting Dayforce as its Core HR application. The deployment focused on Dayforce’s HRIS and payroll capabilities and was used by HR and payroll staff responsible for more than 600 employees. Implementation work centered on payroll processing, timecard auditing, new-hire onboarding and benefits administration: HR team members entered new hires, terminations and changes in Dayforce, audited time cards to identify discrepancies, opened new-hire benefits enrollments and updated information in benefits portals (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA). During the rollout Parts Town processed bi-weekly payroll using both ADP and Dayforce and engaged project management to identify and correct payroll discrepancies discovered during implementation.

| SYSPRO | Legacy | Syspro Manufacturing ERP | Manufacturing ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018, Parts Town implemented Syspro Manufacturing ERP to centralize financial and transactional processing across its manufacturing and distribution operations. The Syspro Manufacturing ERP served as the companys Manufacturing ERP backbone for finance, order management, and operational record keeping.
Configuration work focused on accounts payable automation and order-to-cash capabilities, leveraging native Syspro modules for order management and accounts receivable alongside newly configured AP workflows. The implementation standardized invoice capture, approval routing, and exception handling, and embedded electronic routing and approval controls to replace prior manual, Outlook based invoicing queues.
Parts Town integrated Esker as the AP automation engine that interfaces with Syspro for invoice ingestion and processing, this extended existing Esker use in order-to-cash to cover procure-to-pay document flows. Operational coverage included accounting and finance teams, order management, and accounts receivable, creating an end-to-end document processing chain between front office order capture and back office financial posting.
Governance changes enforced electronic invoice routing with full transparency and accountability, reinforcing approval workflows and auditability in Syspro. The deployment delivered explicitly reported outcomes, including more than $30K in added savings per month, 50% more early payment discounts captured, a 60% increase in productivity per user, and the ability to sustain 30% growth without increasing headcount.
