About the Customer

Peab AB is a construction and civil engineering company headquartered in Forslov, Sweden. It is the third largest construction company in Sweden and the Nordic region. Peab has approximately 130 regional offices and 13,000 employees in Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

Scope and Challenges

The Swedish's company main criteria during the digital journey was focusing on increasing the quality of financial management, reducing lead times, and delivering faster financial statements in the long run. 

Peab wanted to create a modern integration solution that can handle mass management and complexity requirements within their shared service center, Peab Support.

Two important points on the list were that the new business system could integrate with a large number of Peab interfaces and that it would be easier to start and discontinue new companies when acquiring or selling. 

Outcome and Implications

After a long evaluation of a number of suppliers, in December 2017, the choice finally fell to Unit4 Business World. Peab chose Unit4's solution to other suppliers because overall it was best considered to support the requirements, not least from mass management, project reporting and the possibility of effective integration. 

The new business system complied with all countries' legal requirements as well as industry requirements. 

Peab Support handles accounting and reporting for subsidiaries with approximately 13,000 employees and sales of approximately $4 billion in three countries.
