Oracle Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2016 2017
In 2016 Pharma Logistics implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial system, transitioning from Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise. The implementation supported a consolidated finance environment for four legal entities, covering a privately held United States logistics company with approximately 300 employees and annual revenue of 50,000,000 USD. The Oracle NetSuite ERP deployment focused on month end, quarter end and year end close workflows including reconciliations, journal entries and consolidated reporting for four entities. Core financial modules and configuration covered general ledger, consolidation reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable controls, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP including footnote disclosures. The program also included selection, design and implementation of a payroll system and expense and travel software integrated into the accounting close and payroll processing flows. Integrations and operational coverage centered on connections between Oracle NetSuite ERP and external banking and payroll channels, expense and travel platforms, and working relationships with outside vendors and bankers including outside auditors. Operational ownership spanned corporate accounting and finance functions, payroll and benefits administration, and centralized reporting for the companys multi-entity structure. Governance and process changes emphasized implementing, monitoring and continuously improving internal controls, and formalizing month end, quarter end and year end close governance. The deployment was led by an internal finance lead who managed and developed a team of three accountants, administered the companys 401k plan including supporting the 401k audit, and coordinated audit readiness with external auditors and banking partners.
