In 2014, PHH Corporation implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) as a core Analytics and BI platform. The Microsoft BI implementation was built on a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 environment and included the development of a central data warehouse using star schema and snowflake schema designs to support enterprise reporting needs.
ETL and data integration were executed with SSIS and T-SQL, authoring SSIS packages to ingest and transform data from Oracle sources and XML feeds, with custom C# components incorporated where necessary. Analytical layers were delivered via SSAS in both tabular and multidimensional form, complemented by Power Pivot and Power View artifacts, while SSRS was used to produce drill-through, drill-down, and parameterized reports developed in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and 2012.
Report distribution and collaboration leveraged SharePoint 2010 and Excel as downstream consumption and distribution channels, and development artifacts were managed through SQL Server tooling and Visual Studio. The implementation scope emphasized direct collaboration with business analysts for requirements capture and iterative report development, ensuring SSRS report specifications aligned to business reporting requirements.
Governance focused on formalized requirements, modular ETL package design, and reuse of SSAS models and SSRS reports as canonical analytics components. Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) functioned as the central Analytics and BI stack within PHH Corporation's stated technical environment.
