| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Pickles Auctions implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform to establish a single source of truth and cloud-based visibility across the enterprise. The decision followed a requirement for greater flexibility and scalability to support broader commercial partnerships and faster business pivoting, and Pickles adopted a cloud-native Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations solution because the organization was already an existing Microsoft customer and preferred the familiar interface.
The implementation began with a phased program that started by restructuring the company accounts, reflecting an emphasis on core financial management first. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger consolidation, accounts payable and receivable workflows, cash management, and unified financial reporting, alongside operational controls to provide transactional and inventory visibility consistent with auction operations.
Deployment was executed as a cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations architecture managed through an engagement with DXC Technology, the selected implementation partner and the DXC Practice for Microsoft. The platform was positioned to enable cross-functional coverage across finance, sales and operations, and to support future partnerships with finance companies and lease companies by providing standardized data models and a single enterprise record for transactions and counterparties.
Governance and rollout were organized as a five-phase business transformation program led by DXC and Pickles leadership, with the first phase focused on accounts restructuring and subsequent phases addressing wider operational integration and process standardization. Outcomes explicitly stated in the program rationale include improved ability to pivot and adapt, faster capture of partnership opportunities, and enhanced competitiveness through broader buyer engagement, all enabled by Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the companywide ERP Financial system.

| The Access Group | Legacy | Access MicrOpay (ex Sage MicrOpay) | Payroll | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Pickles Auctions deployed Access MicrOpay (ex Sage MicrOpay) as its Payroll application. The deployment targeted finance and HR operations across Australia and supported payroll processing for approximately 1,000 employees in the professional services business.
Access MicrOpay was configured to deliver core Payroll capabilities including pay calculations, tax and superannuation processing, leave and entitlements management, scheduled pay runs and statutory payroll reporting. Configuration work emphasized Australian payroll compliance, pay file generation for banking and payroll reporting exports used in financial routines.
The implementation included a defined payroll integration project linking Access MicrOpay to Pickles Auctions' enterprise resource planning system, creating a data interface for posting payroll journals into the ERP. Payroll transaction feeds were surfaced into internal reporting routines, supporting the Senior Financial Accountant's PowerBI reports for debtor analysis, entity performance and accounts payable reconciliation.
Governance and rollout centered on cross functional stakeholder coordination between finance, HR and IT, with finance ownership for reconciliation rules, payroll to general ledger mappings and role based access controls. Change activities focused on establishing payroll processing cadence, validation workflows and executive level reporting handoffs to the ELT.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Azure Machine Learning | ML and Data Science Platforms | AI Development | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016, Pickles Auctions implemented Microsoft Azure Machine Learning as part of its ML and Data Science Platforms adoption to centralize model development for its data science and analytics functions. The implementation sits alongside a broader shift to Microsoft and Azure services, including Power BI and Azure cognitive services, and is coordinated with the companywide master data management strategy that underpins data, information and knowledge competency.
Microsoft Azure Machine Learning was configured to support standard platform capabilities such as experiment tracking, model training and validation, pipeline orchestration and model registry for operational scoring. The deployment emphasized reusable model artifacts and automated pipelines to accelerate iteration, while retaining governance controls through experiment metadata and model lineage capture.
Integrations reflect the stated Microsoft stack, with Microsoft Azure Machine Learning linked to Power BI for downstream visualization and to Azure cognitive services for inference enrichment, while the master data management approach supplies curated feature sets and reference data. Operational coverage included the centralized data science team, analytics and IT platform teams across Pickles Auctions in Australia, serving business intelligence and analytic consumption needs.
Governance and rollout aligned with the master data management program, instituting model governance practices, deployment gating and version control consistent with MLOps principles. The vendor stack and data governance posture were positioned to enable Pickles Auctions core competency in data, information and knowledge as the organization expanded its use of ML and analytics.
