In 2014, Platinum Motor Group implemented Kerridge POS to support Point Of Sale operations at its dual franchise dealership in Bath, United Kingdom. The deployment targeted a single site aftersales footprint, covering service reception, parts counter, and workshop job intake aligned to Skoda and Renault franchise workflows.
Kerridge POS was configured to manage service advisor workflows, service checkout and invoicing, parts sales with inventory visibility, and workshop job control including job card creation and status tracking. Configuration emphasized standard Point Of Sale transactional processing and workshop control capabilities tailored to a small dealership environment of approximately 30 employees.
Operational use of Kerridge POS was embedded in aftersales and workshop management processes, with service advisors running daily reception and parts transactions while covering service manager responsibilities such as staff attendance oversight, workshop management and control, and handling holiday and sick day authority during managerial absence. The system was used alongside Volkswagen and Audi Group ELSAPRO related service workflows, reflecting coordination with OEM service procedures in a franchise setting.
Rollout and governance were driven by aftersales staff and service advisors, including on the job training for a service advisor enrolled in the Volkswagen Audi apprenticeship program, which institutionalized POS operational procedures into service reception and parts counter activities. Documentation and local process controls supported the single site operational model.
