| Workday | Legacy | Workday Financial Management | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Plymouth Rock Assurance implemented Workday Financial Management as its enterprise financial system. Workday Financial Management was positioned to centralize accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across the insurance company and its IT subsidiary within an ERP Financial environment.
The implementation included configuration of the Workday Financial Management general ledger to support GAAP based financial accounting and consolidated reporting. Functional capabilities deployed included budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, fixed assets, accounts payable, and management and business metrics reporting. The finance organization also led an automated paperless accounts payable rollout as part of the Workday Financial Management program. The finance team established monthly executive packages containing income statements, project dashboards, operational metrics, and trend charts.
Operational scope extended across the corporate finance organization and the company IT subsidiary where the director of finance developed and implemented the first billing model to record internal and external resource time charged to projects that the IT company charges back to the insurance companies. That billing model was aligned with project accounting workflows in Workday Financial Management to capture time based chargebacks and project level cost and revenue detail. A finance project manager oversaw the Workday Financials General Ledger implementation, aligning chart of accounts, journal processes, and month end close controls.
Governance changes centralized ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and audit compliance under the finance director, who was accountable for fiscal operating results using generally accepted accounting principles. Implementation governance and rollout sequencing were managed through the finance project manager role, which established the recurring executive reporting cadence and coordinated the general ledger and AP automation deployments.

In 2012 Plymouth Rock Assurance began implementing Sapiens StoneRiver StreamSuite as a phased modernization of core claims and customer systems. The initial deployment targeted the Sapiens StoneRiver StreamSuite modules Claims Stream and Customer Stream in the U.S. Northeast, covering claims intake and customer relationship processes across multiple companies and lines. This work represented the first phases of a planned rollout of the full Stream Suite.
The Insurance ERP implementation configured Claims Stream to standardize claims workflows and Customer Stream to centralize policyholder data and CRM functions, aligning process orchestration with enterprise claims and customer service teams. Functional capabilities implemented included claims intake, assignment and adjudication workflows, together with customer relationship processing and data consolidation consistent with an Insurance ERP deployment. Public reporting did not specify technical hosting or detailed integration endpoints.
Operational scope encompassed Plymouth Rock Assurance operations in the U.S. Northeast and multiple affiliated companies, impacting claims operations, customer service, and related back office functions. Governance emphasized a phased rollout across companies and lines to standardize workflows and enable faster service, with stated intentions to reduce operational costs and improve service speed. The initiative focused on embedding streamlined claims and customer processing capabilities within the broader Sapiens StoneRiver StreamSuite platform.
