| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Poet LLC deployed IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management application to centralize maintenance, inventory, procurement and inspections across all sites. IBM Maximo was supported in-house, with primary responsibility for application support and custom development tied to day to day asset management and operational workflows.
The IBM Maximo implementation encompassed core Enterprise Asset Management functional modules including work orders, service requests, preventive maintenance job plans and routes, inventory management, purchasing, invoicing, asset and location records, labor tracking and inspections. Custom development work included Maximo application design using automation scripts, security signature options, one click record creation across any site for purchase orders, service requests, invoices and work orders, and building and deploying custom ear files and database configurations.
Integrations and operational tooling explicitly implemented alongside IBM Maximo include Interpro EZMAX Mobile for mobile field interactions, Publish Channels for reporting and external enterprise application integration, and Blue Prism automation software used to orchestrate Person Labor and user security automation. The implementation supports all sites with consolidated views for one click item purchasing and adding items to open purchase orders, automated billing of materials and items for work order plans or actuals, and inventory calculations that produce 1 to 4 year issuance, averages for reorder per site, and aggregated totals across sites.
Governance and workflow reengineering were embedded in the application through multiple complex workflows and scoring calculations for Environmental Health and Safety service requests, with explicit reportable and non reportable routing and automation that creates follow up records based on inspection scoring. Additional governance automation includes locked user remediation workflows that unblock accounts and send unique passwords by email when login attempts reach the configured maximum, and continued evolution of inspection handling with a planned move from classifications to work center inspections on Maximo version 7.6.1.1.
