In 2018 Polaris implemented MRI Software AMTDirect Lease Accounting to centralize leased asset control and accelerate readiness for the new lease accounting requirements coming into force the following year. The deployment emphasized Lease Management capabilities to create a single source of record for contract terms, payment schedules, and accounting-ready lease data across the enterprise.
MRI Software AMTDirect Lease Accounting was configured to support lease capture and classification, schedule generation, lease liability and right-of-use asset calculations, and standardized reporting for finance. Configuration work included mapping to the corporate chart of accounts, automating amortization schedules, and applying role-based access controls for accounting and asset teams, consistent with typical Lease Management workflows.
Operationally the project targeted finance and asset management functions, instituting centralized lease record ownership and revised close process controls to ensure consistent recognition and disclosure under the new standard. The implementation positioned Polaris to manage all of its leased assets through MRI Software AMTDirect Lease Accounting, and to align internal governance and lease accounting workflows with the incoming regulatory requirements.
