Glib.ai Legacy Glib AI Platform Intelligent Document Processing Content Management n/a 2024 2024
In 2024, Pollen Finance deployed the Glib AI Platform to operationalize Intelligent Document Processing for its MSME lending and credit appraisal workflows across South Africa and Namibia. The Glib AI Platform was applied directly to lending operations to automate bank statement ingestion and to generate market-specific credit appraisal outputs, aligning the application name Glib AI Platform with the Intelligent Document Processing category and Pollen Finance lending functions. The implementation centered on three functional modules, Automated Bank Statement Analysis, an Enhanced Credit Appraisal Memo module, and Tailored Market Analytics. The Automated Bank Statement Analysis used Glib.ai’s IDP capabilities to extract, validate, and categorize transactions from roughly 200 monthly statements, 90% of which were in searchable formats, delivering reported extraction accuracy of 99.5 percent. The Enhanced Credit Appraisal Memo module produced CAM sheets aligned to South African financial standards capturing cash flow patterns, spending behavior, and financial health indicators, with automated CAM generation reducing preparation time by over 85 percent. Integration and deployment were executed with on-premise infrastructure and API connectivity to Pollen Finance’s digital lending platforms, ensuring data residency and compliance with South African data protection laws. The solution workflow was instrumented end to end, from customer submission of statements through IDP categorization, cross-validation of extracted data, automated CAM generation, and market-specific analytics feeding AI-driven scoring to accelerate credit decisioning and disbursal. Operational governance included staged rollout and testing, with User Acceptance Testing beginning in December 2024 and an expected production delivery by the end of January 2025. Process changes shifted routine manual review tasks toward automated extraction and CAM preparation, enabling underwriting teams to focus on exception handling and strategic decision-making while maintaining auditability and compliance controls within the on-premise deployment. Documented outcomes from the Glib AI Platform deployment include an estimated 80 percent reduction in manual effort for statement processing and CAM preparation, a reported reduction in turnaround time from 24 hours to 12 hours, and a potential 20 percent increase in disbursals enabled by faster decisioning. The instantiated Intelligent Document Processing framework preserved regulatory compliance through on-premise hosting, delivered 99.5 percent extraction accuracy as stated, and established a scalable architecture to support higher loan volumes without proportionate increases in operational cost.
