In 2015, Portillo's implemented Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) as its ERP Financial system to support corporate accounting and restaurant finance. The deployment focused on core financial control and transaction processing across general ledger and accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Sage 300 ERP was configured to support inventory reconciliation, fixed asset management, and intercompany accounting, enabling routine month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for inventory and prepaid expenses. Configuration supported fixed asset additions on a weekly cadence and tracking of Construction in Progress and Construction Payable accounts for new restaurant sites.
The implementation operated alongside Prophix for financial reporting and planning, reflecting an explicit integration in the source notes. Operational coverage included corporate finance staff based in Oak Brook, IL and accounting support for restaurant locations in Illinois and Indiana, with processes to review operating expenses for capitalization and maintain intercompany balances.
Governance and workflow changes centered on standardized month end close controls, weekly fixed asset posting procedures, oversight of construction accounting for multi site openings, filing of local food and beverage tax returns for IL and IN locations, and periodic support of external auditors. Portillo's Sage 300 ERP ERP Financial deployment drove explicit accounting process formalization across finance, tax, and construction accounting functions.

| NCR Voyix | Legacy | NCR Voyix Aloha POS | Point Of Sale | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Portillo's implemented NCR Voyix Aloha POS as its core Point Of Sale solution, deploying POS capture and check-level transaction workflows across more than 60 restaurant locations spanning nine states. The deployment is positioned to centralize daily sales capture for restaurant operations and to serve accounting and reporting teams with detailed check and deposit data.
NCR Voyix Aloha POS was configured to feed granular sales and check data into Mirus Reporter for GL reporting and check viewing. Portillo's extended the reporting chain by building GL mappings in Mirus that included account names, sub-accounts and mapping logic, a configuration effort that took approximately three months to stabilize. The implementation also supported expanded sales tax reporting views, including net sales, gross sales, taxable sales and tax exempt tracking tied to check viewer details.
Integrations include a sustained data flow from NCR Voyix Aloha POS into Mirus Reporter, and an export path from Mirus into Sage for automated GL uploads using a toolbar upload step. Operational coverage explicitly spans accounting and reporting teams, sales tax reporting, and restaurant revenue posting workflows.
Governance and process changes moved Portillo's from a paper based, manual reconciliation model to an automated, tool driven posting and tie workflow. Reported outcomes from the deployment include reduction in sales posting effort from three people working three to four days to a single person posting sales in about five minutes, and end to end tie work completed in roughly a half hour.
