In 2013 Positiva Compañía de Seguros S.A implemented SAP R/3 as its ERP Financial platform in a full life cycle engagement following the ASAP methodology. The implementation emphasized Business Process Design, Cutover tasks, End User Training, and configuration work targeted at SAP FICO to align financial processes with insurer requirements.
The project delivered configuration and functional coverage across SAP financial modules, including FI general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury and controlling, as well as FM-related functionality. Configuration work included creation of automatic payment program components such as house banks, company code payment methods, and terms of payment, plus batch input routines and data migration activities to populate master and transactional data. Technical specifications were developed for custom modules and interface programs to meet identified business requirements.
Operational integration was a core focus, successfully integrating SAP R/3 activities with the companys other IT departments and existing interfaces, and supporting FI and CO incident resolution and cross-module integrations. Functional testing cycles were executed for FI and CO scenarios, and new configurations and requirement changes were taken through requirements capture, configuration, and functional test phases.
