| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Application Development Framework | Apps Development | PaaS | PITSS | 2013 | 2014 | In 2013 Powersouth Energy Cooperative modernized an Oracle Forms field inspection application by implementing Oracle Application Development Framework as an Oracle ADF Mobile solution in the Apps Development category. The deployment focused on field inspection workflows on iPads at the Andalusia, Alabama site in the United States, addressing mobile data capture and offline operational needs. The Oracle Application Development Framework implementation delivered ADF Mobile modules for photo capture, GPS coordinate capture, and structured offline inspection report creation, with local storage and an offline to online synchronization model for reconciliation. Configuration concentrated on form-driven inspection workflows, multimedia handling and geolocation metadata to maintain data fidelity during intermittent connectivity. PITSS served as the implementation partner for the ADF Mobile rollout, enabling Powersouth to modernize the existing Oracle Forms application and transfer operational ownership to the internal IT team for ongoing tablet device support and application maintenance. The project covered field operations and inspection business functions and produced faster inspections and higher data quality while establishing an offline/online sync model and internal support capability for tablets. |
