In 2014, Primerica implemented SAP Concur Expense as its Expense Management platform to centralize corporate expense reporting and card administration. The deployment positioned SAP Concur Expense as the system of record for employee expense submissions, policy enforcement, and audit control across travel and purchasing card programs.
Concur system administration responsibilities were structured around core configuration areas, including Audit Rules, Company Info, List Management, and Workflows, with explicit ownership of Travel Policy, User and Permission Administration. Administration extended to Tools Administration covering Company Card management and Import and Extract Monitoring, indicating sustained operational control over transaction intake and automated validation rules. These capabilities align with standard Expense Management functional modules such as expense report processing, policy validation, and automated audit workflows.
Operational coverage included corporate credit card administration for Individual cardholders, Corporate Travel cardholders, and Purchasing Card accounts, affecting finance, travel, and procurement workflows. Integrations were managed at the interface level, operating company card feeds and import export interfaces to maintain transaction flows and reconcilements, while governance emphasized centralized permissioning, audit rule enforcement, and workflow orchestration within SAP Concur Expense.

In 2019, Primerica implemented Sterling Background Check to formalize candidate screening within its recruiting workflow. Sterling Background Check was deployed as part of Primerica's BackGround Screening capability to support recruiter-led hiring and I-9 verification processes.
The implementation emphasized standard BackGround Screening functional modules, including candidate submission and ordering, automated status tracking, result receipt and adjudication workflows. Configuration work focused on aligning candidate intake from recruiters, enabling recruiting coordinators to submit profiles for verification, and providing transparent status updates to hiring teams.
Sterling Background Check was integrated into an existing recruiting stack that includes Workday ATS for application review and disposition, Orange Tree as an alternate background check channel, and Quest Diagnostics for drug screening orders. Candidate profiles were routed from Workday ATS into Sterling Background Check for screening and into I-9 verification workflows, creating a connected end-to-end candidate verification path used by recruiters and recruiting coordinators.
Operational ownership stayed within recruiting and HR functions, with recruiting coordinators coordinating interview scheduling, travel logistics, and screening submissions, while partnering with hiring managers and senior leadership on candidate decisions. Governance centered on embedding screening steps into recruiting workflows and centralizing screening submission through Sterling Background Check, aligning process controls with recruiter and HR responsibilities.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2014 | 2018 |
In 2014 Primerica implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) to centralize enterprise reporting and analytics. The deployment targeted Analytics and BI workloads across transactional and analytical reporting and was scoped to support reporting for the U.S., Canada, and Latin America markets. Business requirements were collected through multiple approaches and iterative JRD sessions with business users to drive ETL application enhancements and report specifications. Workstreams included ETL, analytical modeling, reporting automation and dashboarding across finance and transaction reporting functions.
Microsoft BI components were configured with SSIS for ETL enhancements, SSAS for multidimensional modeling and SSRS for automated report distribution and reusable report libraries. The team designed data profiles for processing using PL/SQL queries and R to manage banking financial metadata related to an acquisition and to enforce data integrity through dataset comparisons and dataset schema checks. SSAS implementation included Key Performance Indicator Objects, Actions, Hierarchies and Attribute Relationships to enrich cube semantics and improve analytical query behavior. Reusable SQL Server Reporting Services artifacts were developed to standardize report logic and enable scheduled distribution.
Analytical capability used R for exploratory data analysis, including descriptive statistics, outlier detection, assumptions testing, factor analysis and regression modeling for statistical forecasting, and applied K Means clustering to segment customers. Transaction Performance Reports were generated on a monthly and quarterly cadence using SQL Server alongside BI tooling such as Informatica and Tableau to consolidate transactional data from U.S., Canada and Latin America. Tableau was used to design charts and dashboards for non technical audiences and to translate SSAS outputs into executive facing visualizations. Data management activities included building automated reporting pipelines and maintaining dataset validation processes.
Operational governance emphasized iterative business engagement, with JRD sessions and a formal user acceptance testing regime to collect end user feedback and secure sign off from managers and cross functional teams. The implementation covered data management, analytics and business reporting functions and aligned SSIS ETL, SSAS analytical models and SSRS delivery for end to end reporting workflows. Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) was positioned as the central Analytics and BI platform for enterprise transactional and analytical reporting at Primerica in 2014.
