In 2019 Printful implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its core ERP platform, aligning the rollout with its ERP Financial strategy for centralized finance and accounting operations. The implementation was positioned to support Printful’s complex ecommerce, printing, warehousing, and fulfillment business model while enabling deeper IT ownership of finance systems and automation capabilities.
The deployment focused on standard finance and accounting functional modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting capabilities. Configuration work emphasized technical accounting workflows and automation, with the ERP/Accounting Project Manager role responsible for process design, gap analysis, and creating standard operating procedures, end-user policies, and training materials to institutionalize the configuration.
Integrations documented as part of the program included Microsoft Power Platform for workflow automation and custom low-code extensions, and Microsoft Azure for infrastructure and platform services, reflecting Printful’s broader Microsoft technology stack. The implementation connected finance processes to IT and operational teams that manage order fulfillment and warehousing systems, and involved cooperation with external software partners to resolve finance system issues and implement technical accounting projects.
Governance and rollout practices centered on change control, documentation, and end-user enablement, with responsibilities for consulting teammates, providing technical ERP support, and maintaining training and project management artifacts. The program emphasized ongoing discovery of finance system potential and iterative improvements through scoped automation projects, with the ERP/Accounting Project Manager tasked with both operational support and project delivery oversight.

| CheckR | Legacy | CheckR | BackGround Screening | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Printful implemented CheckR for BackGround Screening. The deployment placed CheckR into HR operational workflows used by HR coordinators based in Charlotte, NC to support candidate screening, new hire verification, and conversions of temporary agency workers to full-time staff.
CheckR was used to order and retrieve background check results as part of the applicant-to-onboard workflow, providing a centralized source for criminal and background reports accessed by HR coordinators. The background screening function operated alongside existing hiring and payroll processes, with HR staff referencing CheckR results when preparing Payroll Action Forms and creating employee files.
Operational workflows spanned multiple systems, with CheckR results referenced in tandem with Breezy as the Applicant Tracking System, employee records maintained in the company PEO Trinet and the e-commerce ASP Ecom, and onboarding or offboarding requests routed through Jira to IT for device activation and deactivation. Drug testing results were handled separately through the company Atrium Health account, while CheckR served as the primary background screening application for candidate vetting.
Governance was centered on HR coordination of screenings, periodic conversion cycles every two weeks for agency temps, and documentation of results into employee records and attendance systems. CheckR supported the HR functions of recruiting, onboarding, and compliance reporting within Printfuls operational model, with day-to-day use managed by HR coordinators and tied to established Jira ticketing and payroll paperwork processes.
