In 2019, PSP Investments implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations to replace Microsoft Dynamics GP, centralizing its ERP Financial platform to support core finance and operations functions. The engagement focused on cloud delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, aligning the application with corporate finance workflows and operational accounting processes.
The implementation included creation and maintenance of multiple D365FO cloud environments to support developers, QA, infrastructure teams, business analysts and end users, and ongoing support for incidents, problem resolution and application development requests. A DEVOPS practice was implemented to automate provisioning of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations environments and to refresh test data, improving consistency across development and test lifecycles.
Architecture and integrations were anchored on Microsoft technologies and established tooling, including Lifecycle Services, Visual Studio, Azure SQL and SQL, with virtualized components on VMWare where required. The environment inventory also included PowerBI, Fastpath, SKSoft, Office 365, Workday connections and an enterprise service bus for interfaces, with operational tooling such as Teams and PowerShell used for orchestration and monitoring. Functional coverage reflected ERP Financial capabilities such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement and fixed assets, aligned with standard finance and operational workflows.
Governance was formalized through technical deployment documentation and change authorization tickets, with coordination of deployments up to production involving internal technical teams and external IT suppliers. The project team documented system knowledge for institutional memory, participated in technical monitoring and product selection, and sustained a governance posture that combined release coordination, environment hygiene and cross functional operational support.

| FactSet | Legacy | Factset ESG (ex Truevalue Labs) | Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) | EPM | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, PSP Investments implemented Factset ESG (ex Truevalue Labs) to convert traditional ESG reviews into data driven investment analytics as part of its Responsible Investment group’s public markets coverage. The deployment focused on creating a proprietary ESG Composite score to track holdings, scale ESG integration across investment teams, and translate disclosure narratives into decision useful data for portfolio due diligence.
The implementation combined multiple functional modules and configurations, including a quantitative Corporate Governance assessment sourced from ISS ESG, a dynamic ESG materiality score produced by Truvalue Labs’ AI screening tool, and FactSet Universal Screening and data warehousing to construct a customized composite. PSP aligned inputs to the SASB Standards’ General Issue Category mapping and decomposed scores across the SASB five dimensions of Environment, Social Capital, Human Capital, Business Model and Innovation, and Leadership and Governance, enabling category level analysis within the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) application context.
Integrations were explicit and central to the architecture, with Truvalue Labs extracting and scoring signals from millions of documents across more than 100,000 sources and Sustainalytics contributing aligned material category data, all consolidated into FactSet Workstation for reporting and screening. Dynamic Materiality calculations run daily to update category weightings and ESG scores, allowing continuous monitoring of stakeholder sentiment and material issue evolution for PSP’s public markets portfolio.
Governance and workflow changes centered on embedding the ESG Composite score into PSP’s due diligence process, enabling analysts to view separate Corporate Governance and ESG Materiality scores or a combined reading that replicates the organization’s investment decision rules. The dynamic weighting methodology provided an objective mechanism to prioritize salient issues over time, supporting consistent scoring governance and facilitating convergence between fundamental research and ESG assessment.
Explicit results reported by PSP include greater ESG precision and real time analytics, accelerated convergence between fundamental and ESG analysis, and improved insight into factors impacting intangibles and enterprise value. The Factset ESG (ex Truevalue Labs) deployment was used to benchmark issuers and portfolios, support issuer selection, identify new investment ideas, and enhance knowledge sharing across the organization.
