In 2018 QBE United Kingdom implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as the central financial application within a Finance in a Box FIAB platform, establishing Oracle Cloud ERP as the primary ERP Financial system for Finance and Procurement. The deployment was delivered inside an IT tower architecture that included Oracle R12 Finance Accounting Hub, Oracle Financial Data Warehouse, IBM InfoSphere DataStage and a banking gateway, forming an integrated transaction and reporting backbone.
The implementation emphasis for Oracle Cloud ERP centered on core financial and procurement capabilities, with functional configuration and user interface changes applied to the General Ledger, Expense subledger and Procurement subledger. The project promoted more than 100 functional change items in Oracle Cloud Financials to reduce manual workarounds, streamline transaction handling and strengthen controls for hundreds of users on the cloud platform.
Integrations were explicit and operational, linking Oracle Cloud ERP to Oracle R12 as the Finance Accounting Hub, feeding the Oracle Financial Data Warehouse through IBM InfoSphere DataStage and connecting transactions to a banking gateway for payment and settlement flows. Operational scope focused on Finance and Procurement stakeholders, with governance and testing spanning analysis, estimation, design, build, component and interoperability testing, and user acceptance testing across client and IT teams.
Governance and rollout were managed through a formal Software Development Lifecycle, monthly user group sessions with Finance and Procurement process owners to prioritize change requests, and a Change Advisory Board gate model to secure signoffs. Change leadership included liaison roles between clients and IT, troubleshooting across towers during all gates, and direct management of a small London team with indirect oversight of team members in the Philippines, aligning process, testing and release cadence for the ERP Financial environment.

In 2019, QBE United Kingdom implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR system to centralize employee records and HR administration across its European operations. The Workday HCM implementation at QBE United Kingdom formed part of a broader HR modernization program that had previously included implementation activities for Workday and Cornerstone across QBE Europe, aligning application rollout with a multi-year HR strategy.
Workday HCM was configured to deliver core HR capabilities, including centralized workforce records, organizational management, position and job profile configuration, employee lifecycle transactions, onboarding and absence administration. The deployment emphasized security and role-based access, standard HR transaction workflows, and configuration of business processes to support HR administration and people managers.
The Workday HCM rollout was executed alongside Cornerstone for learning and talent initiatives, with both applications supporting HR and talent workflows across QBE Europe. Operational coverage targeted HR, talent and leadership development functions, with system use scoped to European operations and HR program stakeholders.
Governance for the implementation drew on an existing HR program framework that included a five-year HR strategy, a Culture Change Programme, an Employee Engagement Programme and a Senior Manager Certification Regime. Program governance emphasized change management, manager certification, training and alignment of HR processes to the new operating model and regulatory priorities, embedding Workday HCM into established HR governance and people programs.

| Pegasystems | Legacy | Pega Case Management | Case Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, QBE United Kingdom implemented Pega Case Management to support core Claims business processes, embedding a Case Management platform into underwriting and claims workflows. The deployment targeted QBE Europe operations with a focus on case lifecycle orchestration, case routing and assignment, complaint handling, and centralized workbasket management to standardize claim intake and processing across teams.
Pega Case Management was configured to expose typical case management capabilities including workflow orchestration, business rules automation, decisioning, SLA tracking, and document attachment and storage for end-to-end case resolution. Configuration work emphasized modular case types and re-usable rule sets to allow rapid configuration for distinct claim classes, consistent with category-aligned functional patterns for Case Management.
The implementation integrated with adjacent systems that are documented in QBE projects, including CRM integration with Salesforce, document management with Oracle WCC, core claims connectivity to Guidewire ClaimCenter, pricing rule inputs from RuleBook, and policy administration linkages to Genius and IRIS. These integrations supported engineered handoffs between policy, pricing, document, and claims systems, enabling operational continuity across Claims and Underwriting functions in the United Kingdom and specifically London operations.
Governance and rollout followed an agile, BA-led approach, with business analysis leadership driving requirements, iterative delivery, and phased rollout across claims teams. The program was connected to broader transformation activity led by the QBE business analysis function, which included leadership of the Brexit readiness programme and recognition of the team and individuals as BCS UK IT Industry Awards finalists in 2017, 2018 and 2021.
