Quaker Houghton selected and deployed Workday Absence Management in 2022 to replace a legacy absence system as part of a broader HR systems transformation. The deployment was structured as a global HRIS initiative supported by an in-house Global HRIS Analyst role responsible for planning, design, testing, data audits, and ongoing operations across the employee lifecycle for populations in 30+ countries. Implementation centered on Workday’s absence capabilities and was integrated with Workday Time and Compensation modules, case-management tools for issue tracking, and existing reporting workflows using Excel/PowerBI; the project emphasized self-service absence workflows, automated approvals, and standardized data tables to improve data integrity and reporting. Operational scope spans global HR and IT collaboration, compliance reporting across multiple jurisdictions, and end-user training and support to sustain the new absence and leave processes.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
Quaker Houghton (2017) selected and implemented Microsoft Power BI (Analytics and BI) to replace a legacy reporting environment. The implementation was led from the corporate PMO and integration management office and focused on enterprise dashboards and on‑demand analytics rather than ad hoc reporting tools. Power BI was designed and developed to surface executive, program, integration, and project‑manager views and KPIs that align with the company’s project and portfolio governance.
Implementation work ran alongside a rollout of Microsoft Project Online as the new project portfolio management system and incorporated PMLC governance workflows to standardize project lifecycle artifacts and approvals. The deployment delivered integrated, role‑based dashboards and metrics tied to portfolio value, resource demand and project budget timing, and included training and governance to scale PMO processes globally. The stated operational focus was to improve visibility for executive portfolio decision‑making and to enforce repeatable, auditable project management practices across the enterprise.
