| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, Queensland University of Technology implemented Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable to operationalize AP Automation for university expense and supplier payment processing. The deployment positioned Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable as the central application supporting QUT accounts payable and expense management functions.
The implementation covered functional modules for reimbursement and payment claim capture, invoice entry and payment scheduling, document attachment for receipts and invoices, and multicurrency conversion support for visitor payments. Configuration enforced rules-based expense validation that requires receipts or invoices and proof of payment when staff pay in the first instance, and it embeds statutory declaration handling where no receipt is provided. Approval workflow controls were implemented to enforce segregation of duties, specifically preventing staff from approving their own expenditure claims.
Operational scope explicitly includes All Staff expenditure claims and claims submitted by visiting academics, students and other Visitors, with All Staff paid in Australian dollars and Visitors able to be paid in foreign currency or AUD subject to supporting currency conversion documentation. Claims are required to be submitted within QUT's financial year, January to December, and are governed by the Financial Management Practice and Procedures Manual Chapter 3(I).6 Reimbursements and all funding components are processed centrally through Accounts Payable using specific claim forms tied to the type of claim.

| Ascender | Legacy | Ascender Preceda | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, Queensland University of Technology implemented Ascender Preceda as its Core HR to centralize HR and payroll capabilities across the university. The deployment established Ascender Preceda as the institution's Ascender HRIS with a web interface and a Business Intelligence reporting surface for HR operations.
Configuration work focused on core payroll and personnel capabilities within Ascender Preceda, a Web Interface for administrative and client access, and a Business Intelligence System for front-end report delivery. The project team developed and maintained ETL scripts to populate an HR/Payroll data warehouse, and built front-end reports using the university Business Intelligence reporting tool and other fit for purpose tools.
Integrations were managed with Corporate Information Systems for support and for applications that interact with the HRM system, while ETL feeds linked Ascender Preceda to the HR/Payroll data warehouse. Operational scope covered HR and Payroll functions and served the wider university community, with Business Analysts engaging internal and external clients to define reporting and data extraction requirements.
Governance emphasized iterative enhancement and ongoing support, with staff responsible for researching, planning and developing functional improvements, maintaining ETL processes, and liaising with Corporate Information Systems for application advice and operational support. Ascender Preceda is described in institutional documentation and role histories as the Core HR platform supporting QUT's HR reporting and client support workflows.

| TechnologyOne | Legacy | TechnologyOne Student Management | Education ERP | ERP Services and Operations | Atturra (formerly FTS Group) | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022 Queensland University of Technology engaged Atturra to lead a transition to TechnologyOne Student Management as a SaaS solution, addressing an on-prem TechnologyOne Student Management System that was nearing end of vendor support and heavily customised on Oracle. The engagement was staffed through QUT Digital Business Solutions and ran for two years, making it one of the largest and most complex TechnologyOne Student Management SaaS transitions across TechnologyOne education clients, and it targeted core student administration and academic record workflows within the university.
Atturra provided technical leadership across planning, design, testing, and deployment for TechnologyOne Student Management, acting as technical and deployment lead for the refactoring and testing of over 600 custom artefacts converted from Oracle to SQL Server code. The implementation preserved the full Education ERP functional footprint while executing significant code refactoring and configuration work to align the application with a SaaS delivery model and the vendor supported stack.
The project included large scale integration rationalisation, with Atturra as integration lead refactoring approximately 400 complex Oracle dependent integrations, and the implementation of an on premise replicated environment to satisfy ongoing Oracle specific requirements. Operational coverage included collaboration between Atturra, QUT staff, and the vendor, and the solution architecture therefore took a hybrid form that combined TechnologyOne Student Management SaaS tenancy with an on premise replication layer to preserve Oracle dependent processes.
Governance was delivered through a collaborative engagement model where Atturra helped manage the program from concept through delivery and coordinated testing and deployment with QUT stakeholders, driving fit for purpose design decisions. The documented outcome was a successful SaaS transition of TechnologyOne Student Management that enabled QUT to leverage advanced vendor supported capabilities, de risk its student management operations, increase platform reliability and efficiency, and maintain alignment with the universitys Oracle specific requirements while remaining on an Education ERP platform.
