In 2014, Raleigh International implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP, adopting the ERP Financial application to centralize accounting for a UK based non profit that operates five overseas country offices. The deployment used NetSuite OneWorld configuration to establish a multi subsidiary accounting framework and country accounting controls for finance staff in each country.
The implementation concentrated on country accounting capabilities, including the maintenance and reconciliation of all intercompany accounts, bank and cash reconciliations, Purchase Ledger management, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Configuration covered scheduled supplier payment runs and weekly expense and volunteer payment runs, together with end to end payroll processing and controls to ensure local reconciliations of bank and cash counts are completed and reviewed.
Operationally finance staff in each of the five overseas operations post transactional data onto NetSuite OneWorld, reconcile local accounts, and track cashflow requirements for overseas offices, while central finance maintains responsibility for preparing the monthly supplier payment runs and reconciling organization wide cash positions. The setup positions Oracle NetSuite ERP as the single system of record for country level processing and intercompany consolidation.
Governance and workflow design assign reconciliation and review responsibilities across local finance teams and a central oversight role, with an Accounts Assistant performing ledger tasks under supervision. Processes documented in the system include purchase ledger controls, balance sheet reconciliation workflows, supplier payment approval flows, volunteer and expense payment schedules, and payroll processing steps within Oracle NetSuite ERP.
