In 2025, Rappi deployed Oracle Database 23ai as an AI Database to upgrade its search engine infrastructure across its Latin American on demand delivery platform. The initiative targeted improved user intent interpretation and more personalized search results within Rappi's web and mobile customer experiences.
Rappi implemented Oracle Autonomous AI Database 23ai together with Oracle AI Vector Search to operationalize vector embeddings and retrieval, embedding the AI Database into search indexing and query layers. The deployment was hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and integrated with Rappi's search engine layer and backend services to serve both mobile and web channels. Oracle Customer Success Services supported the migration to OCI and coordinated production cutover, capacity planning, and post deployment tuning activities.
Operational rollout emphasized search, product, and customer experience functions with governance around dataset curation and relevance tuning. The Oracle Database 23ai implementation combined with Oracle AI Vector Search doubled user search response speeds and delivered more personalized results.
