In 2012, Red Funnel Group implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial application. The implementation established Infor SunSystems as the company's core financial system supporting finance, commercial, and operational accounting workflows.
The deployment configured core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management, and used class libraries that expose SUN APIs for system to system financial interfacing. Infor SunSystems was connected into automated document workflows, leveraging SQL Server message brokering to queue and dispatch documentation through a third party mailing product.
Operational integrations were extensive, linking Infor SunSystems to a mix of bespoke operational applications. These include a PHP/AJAX live departures board with a C# Windows service backend, a Windows AIS vessel tracking service that publishes vessel positioning, an inventory management site giving hoteliers access to live inventories, a company intranet, and a C# WPF handheld check in application that validates tickets and writes booking confirmations into the booking system. Additional integrations include a PHP loyalty signup site, a light WPF application interfacing another third party check in administration tool, a Windows service that feeds real time vessel information and arrival and departure predictions to a third party transport solution, and a system that collates on board webcam images and uploads them to storage for the website.
Governance centered on centralized API and service libraries for SunSystems integration and on Windows services for orchestration of real time operational data. The SQL Server message brokering layer formalized asynchronous document distribution, and the handheld and WPF client applications localized transactional operations at points of customer interaction, aligning ticketing and inventory workflows with centralized financial posting in Infor SunSystems.

| Lloyds Register | Legacy | Lloyds Register AllAssets | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017, Red Funnel Group deployed Lloyds Register AllAssets as its Asset Performance Management platform to instrument fuel and propulsion performance across its ferry operations. The deployment established Lloyds Register AllAssets as a connected assets platform for the operator, marking Red Funnel as the first company to sail with this connected assets capability from Lloyds Register.
The implementation centered on the Lloyds Register AllAssets Fuel Monitoring and Analytics application, delivered as a turnkey package that links to onboard control and monitoring equipment. Data was transmitted to a secure connected assets platform in the cloud where analytic tools are used to discover how, why and where fuel is being consumed, and stakeholders access the information and tools through a secure web portal.
Operational coverage included Red Funnel's three Raptor Class ropax vessels that operate between mainland England and the Isle of Wight and collectively record about 45,500 miles each year, focusing business functions on fuel management, vessel operations and engineering reliability. Integrations were executed against shipboard systems and sensors to feed real time and historical telemetry into the Asset Performance Management environment, enabling cross vessel visibility and analytics.
Governance and workflow changes concentrated on giving operational and technical stakeholders web portal access to analytics for decision making, and on embedding fuel monitoring into routine vessel performance reviews. The deployed application identified a specific operational inefficiency, showing that running Voith Schneider propulsion systems with a high pitch and low RPM consumed more fuel at a given cruise speed, which informed operational adjustments to propulsion settings.
