Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2008 2009
In 2008, Regal Beloit Corporation implemented Oracle E-Business Suite for ERP Financial. The deployment targeted Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 with a production database running 11.2.0.4 on IBM AIX 7.2, and the engagement centered on a discovery driven upgrade program to prepare the environment for Oracle 12.2.x database certification. The discovery phase included a detailed inventory and technical analysis covering 164 databases and 114 third party applications integrated with the EBS 12.1.3 production database. Teams produced a technical upgrade plan and supporting documentation that specified steps to move schemas, retire identified databases, or exclude certain databases from upgrade, and these findings were presented directly to the CIO. As part of technical validation, the project team worked with Oracle certification matrices for Oracle database version 12.2.0.1 across related products including OBIA, Hyperion, VCP, EBS, Oracle Configurator, and Oracle Comp Work Bench. A comprehensive worksheet was prepared capturing application, database, server, and third party application attributes for all Regal applications to support sequencing, compatibility assessment, and remediation planning. Governance for the program was structured through weekly status reports and formal presentations to Oracle Practice Directors at the Regal level, with artifacts revised based on stakeholder feedback. The upgrade discovery required coordination across multiple functional teams and project teams across all Regal Beloit locations, and produced the technical documentation used to drive subsequent database upgrades to the 12.2.x baseline.

Oracle Legacy Oracle OBIA Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2012 2012
In 2012, Regal Beloit Corporation implemented Oracle OBIA as part of an Analytics and BI deployment to extend reporting on its Oracle EBS transactional environment. The engagement included deploying Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and Oracle Business Intelligence Applications, aligning the full Oracle OBIA application stack with the companys Oracle EBS instance to deliver consolidated analytics for operational and financial reporting. The technical implementation configured OBIEE as the presentation and dashboard layer and Oracle OBIA as the packaged analytics suite, with ETL feeds populating a purpose-built analytical schema. Workstreams focused on OBIA subject areas common to Oracle EBS implementations, including finance, accounts payables to procure-to-pay and inventory analytics, and the configuration of ETL mappings and data staging to normalize EBS transactional data for reporting. Operationally, the rollout targeted finance and operations functions within Regal Beloit, instituting reporting ownership and data validation workflows to support ongoing governance. The delivery team also brought prior experience managing OpenText Content Access and an Accounts Payable solution for Oracle ERPs at multiple customer sites including Barrick Gold, Motorola, RockTenn, Sesac, Santee Cooper, Alpha Natural Resources, Parametric Technology Corporation, Pacific Life, Fox Networks Group, Quintiles, and Genuine Parts Company, which informed integration and document access considerations.
