In 2012 Relaxo implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP platform and deployed LS Retail to support an expanding company owned company operated retail footprint, the initiative was aligned to the ERP Financial category to centralize financials and retail operations. The rollout targeted consolidation of point of sale transactions and back office financials to enable centralized control from the head office in New Delhi as Relaxo scaled beyond ten retail outlets.
The deployment included the Finance, Sales and Marketing, Purchase, Inventory and Warehouse modules within Microsoft Dynamics NAV, together with LS POS for in-store transactions. LS Data Director was configured to synchronize and replicate transactional data between stores and head office at higher speed and lower bandwidth, enabling transaction-level traceability from POS through to the general ledger. The single platform model was configured to standardize sales processing, stock processing and automated data replication across sites.
Operational coverage focused on retail outlets across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and centralized management at the head office, with inventory traceability and invoicing consolidated for multi-store operations. Integrations implemented tied POS transactions to back office inventory and financial modules, ensuring that sales, stock levels and profitability data flowed into Microsoft Dynamics NAV for analysis and reporting. Scheduled synchronization and data replication were emphasized to support stores with constrained network bandwidth.
Governance and process changes included daily automated consolidation of store data and drill down reporting for product wise, store wise and profit wise analysis to support retail decision making. The implementation reduced manual consolidation work that previously required two days and 12 people on a monthly basis, achieved daily updates for 98 percent of data, saved significant person hours each month and improved management control over store performance and inventory replenishment, outcomes that supported further retail expansion.

Governance and process changes focused on automated daily consolidation and reporting, moving away from a monthly manual consolidation process when store count exceeded 10 stores. As a result of the LS Nav deployment, Relaxo achieved 98 percent daily data updates, reduced person hours and operational costs, improved management control over sales and profitability monitoring, and gained confidence to accelerate retail outlet expansion.
