In 2017 Rema 1000 implemented Microsoft 365 in the Collaboration category. The deployment targeted the organization’s corporate user base in Denmark and extended to its approximately 15,000 employees.
Microsoft 365 was configured to provide core collaboration capabilities, including Exchange Online for corporate email, SharePoint Online for intranet and document management, and Microsoft Teams for meetings and persistent chat. The implementation used the cloud SaaS architecture of Microsoft 365 with tenant-level configuration for mail routing, file storage and Teams policy enforcement. Standard Collaboration workflows such as shared document libraries, team channels and calendaring were established to support cross-functional work.
The Rema 1000 corporate website contains references to Microsoft 365, indicating that the Microsoft 365 tenant is surfaced in public-facing contexts for content or asset linkage. This presence suggests alignment between the public web footprint and the corporate Collaboration environment.
Governance focused on tenant administration and identity controls, with policies for mail, sharing and document lifecycle management to support retail, operations, finance and HR functions. Administration and policy enforcement were structured to reflect Danish data residency and corporate compliance requirements.

In 2024, REMA 1000 implemented the RELEX Living Retail Platform as a Supply Chain Management initiative to centralize and improve demand forecasting and replenishment across its Danish operations. The deployment covers REMA 1000’s 420 stores throughout Denmark, including Aldi stores acquired last year, and extends into the retailer’s four distribution centers to support fresher product flows and more efficient ordering to all clients.
The RELEX Living Retail Platform implementation focuses on demand forecasting and replenishment workflows, inventory optimization, allocation and end balance management, leveraging RELEX’s AI algorithms to calculate and manage end balances.
