| RELEX Solutions | Legacy | RELEX Living Retail Platform | Supply Chain Management | SCM | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024, REMA 1000 implemented the RELEX Living Retail Platform as a Supply Chain Management initiative to centralize and improve demand forecasting and replenishment across its Danish operations. The deployment covers REMA 1000’s 420 stores throughout Denmark, including Aldi stores acquired last year, and extends into the retailer’s four distribution centers to support fresher product flows and more efficient ordering to all clients.
The RELEX Living Retail Platform implementation focuses on demand forecasting and replenishment workflows, inventory optimization, allocation and end balance management, leveraging RELEX’s AI algorithms to calculate and manage end balances. Functional capabilities implemented include demand signal consolidation, automated replenishment planning, stock level optimization for freshness, and task reallocation to enable category managers and store personnel to prioritize value adding activities.
Operationally the platform is provisioned to orchestrate planning from producers and wholesalers through distribution centers to store shelves, aligning orders and replenishment cycles across the network. Integrations are designed around end to end planning and order orchestration for the four distribution centers and the 420 store replenishment endpoints, supporting reduced time from production to shelf and more accurate order efficiency.
Governance and rollout emphasize business process change to empower local store staff and category management, with staged implementation across store and DC operations to capture freshness and waste reduction objectives. Explicit outcomes called out by REMA 1000 include increased availability, improved freshness, reduced waste and associated costs, and reallocation of time to more value adding tasks for staff, while the deployment remains focused on strengthening accuracy and agility in inventory management through the RELEX Living Retail Platform.
