In 2003, Rhein-Sieg-Kreis Germany implemented eTASK Inventory as part of the eTASK.FM Portal including eTASK.Inventur, deploying an Inventory Management solution to support municipal facility and asset tracking. The project began in March 2003 and reached operational status within months, prioritizing rapid consolidation of inventory processes for public sector facilities.
The deployment consolidated inventory and asset data across four buildings totaling approximately 41,100 m², centralizing equipment registers and stock control into eTASK Inventory. Implemented functional capabilities included periodic inventory counting with eTASK.Inventur, asset register maintenance, and planning support for cleaning and maintenance activities, aligning facility operations with centralized inventory records.
The implementation integrated with SAP to support NKF related finance tasks, enabling financial postings and cost allocation workflows to consume inventory and asset data from the Inventory Management system. Operational coverage encompassed facility management, cleaning and maintenance planning, and finance teams responsible for municipal cost distribution.
Governance and rollout emphasized configuration for municipal accounting and operational scheduling, with processes reoriented to use consolidated inventory as the single source for planning and cost allocation. The solution delivered consolidated inventories and improved planning for cleaning, maintenance and cost allocation as described in the project report.
