In 2022, Ri Happy implemented FortiCASB as its Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB) solution to extend cloud security controls across customer and corporate cloud use. The FortiCASB deployment was positioned to provide centralized visibility and policy enforcement for cloud applications that support retail transactions and corporate IT workflows.
FortiCASB was deployed alongside FortiGate Next-Generation Firewall, Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, FortiMail, FortiSIEM, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP, reflecting an architecture that consolidates network, email, and access controls within the Fortinet solution set. Configuration work focused on cloud discovery, data loss prevention, access controls and contextual policy enforcement, aligning cloud governance with existing security policies. The implementation emphasized policy automation and real time visibility into sanctioned and unsanctioned cloud application use.
Operational scope prioritized IT and security teams responsible for purchase workflows and customer transaction systems, integrating cloud access controls into existing operational processes. Governance changes included centralizing cloud access policy administration and aligning incident monitoring workflows with security operations practice. Reporting and alerts from FortiCASB were positioned to inform security analysts and application owners for faster investigation and remediation.
Daniel Santos, IT Manager at Ri Happy, reported that the flexibility to contract lower cost links, combined with the guarantee of secure access for customers and corporate systems, provided a very positive experience in terms of agility in the purchase process. The narrative links FortiCASB adoption to strengthened cloud access assurances and improved agility for the companys purchasing experience.
