In 2018 Jigsaw implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment targeted finance and accounting for Jigsaw's London retail operations, with a project window running from October 2018 to May 2019 and operational oversight provided by a finance and accounting controller.
The implementation configured SAP S/4 HANA core finance modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting and financial close orchestration, reflecting standard ERP Financial capabilities. Configuration work focused on harmonizing the chart of accounts, establishing United Kingdom statutory accounting settings and centralizing master data for customers and vendors.
Architecturally the program established a centralized ERP instance to act as the system of record for transactional finance and accounting across Jigsaw's UK operations, with controls for segregation of duties, audit trails and reconciliations instrumented within SAP S/4 HANA. Processes were designed to support routine controller activities such as month end close, intercompany accounting and consolidated financial reporting.
Governance and rollout were organized around finance process owners, the finance and accounting controller led configuration validation and user acceptance testing, and the project was phased to stabilize core accounting processes before extending operational procedures. Training, cutover planning and updates to standard operating procedures were documented as part of the October 2018 to May 2019 deployment.

Operational ownership is centered on the e commerce and merchandising teams, who manage relevance tuning, facet configuration, and merchandising rules via the Algolia management console, while the web engineering team maintains the front end integration.
