The initiative was led by a D365 Enterprise Applications leader who coordinated a 36 person cross functional team to orchestrate the rollout and integration of 82 enterprise applications and align the program with corporate modernization objectives. Configuration work focused on core finance and manufacturing capabilities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, including general ledger and financial management, cost accounting, procurement, inventory control, production scheduling, and operational reporting. The implementation emphasized financial transparency and manufacturing process standardization, and configured collaboration points with the company CRM to support enterprise sales and service workflows. Architecture and integrations were delivered on a cloud first Azure platform, with a concerted effort to modernize a 20 year old middleware system to the cloud in under 12 months. The Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations deployment was part of a broader 60 percent cloud transition of core systems, and the program coordinated integrations across 82 enterprise applications while managing 42 vendor partnerships to meet SLA and KPI requirements. Governance and enterprise architecture were restructured alongside the rollout, with a Five year Enterprise Architecture strategy synchronized to One Mint transformation priorities and close partnership with Enterprise Analytics, Cybersecurity, the CFO office, and the PMO. Vendor governance, SLA enforcement, and business led configuration controls were established to support finance, manufacturing, and operational teams. As a result of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations implementation Royal Canadian Mint reported enhanced manufacturing controls, improved financial transparency, and better team collaboration enabled by D365 Enterprise Applications and Azure cloud orchestration. The program emphasized application rationalization and a business led technology strategy without referencing specific prior platforms.
