The Oracle E-Business Suite implementation covered core modules including Financial Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Project Management and Reporting and Analytics. Configuration work emphasized integrated ledgers, procure to pay workflows, inventory and supply chain controls, workforce administrative functions and centralized financial reporting to support operational and financial governance.
The solution was provisioned to support 27 health sites across 400 locations with over 5,000 users, and application and database management processes were established to sustain uptime and transactional processing across distributed clinical and administrative sites. Operational architecture centralized transaction processing and reporting while enabling decentralized operational use by hospitals, health centres and specialised services across the state.
Governance focused on centralised control of financial and procurement policies, aligning rollout phases to departmental strategic objectives for finance, procurement and supply chain. Oracle E-Business Suite supports SA Health in achieving those strategic objectives and underpins ongoing efforts to manage costs and standardise financial, procurement and supply chain operations across the organisation.
