In 2015, Safran Transmission Systems implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial solution. The deployment prioritized consolidation of transactional finance processes and establishment of a master data backbone to support cross functional reporting and operational control.
Implementation activities included identification and conception of new KPI frameworks through workshops with department managers from Design, Production, and Logistics. That KPI workstream translated operational and design metrics into ERP based performance indicators and configured SAP ERP ECC 6.0 reporting structures to capture and surface those measures for finance and operations.
A parallel stream focused on analyzing and securing data from SAP ERP for Master Data Management, defining data quality rules, access controls, and consolidation routines inside the SAP environment. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was used as the system of record for master data that supports finance, production planning, logistics, and product design functions.
Governance adjustments centered on department manager ownership of KPI definitions and a formal master data governance process to manage stewardship and data security. The rollout emphasized internal configuration, data controls, and workflow alignment inside SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to ensure consistent financial reporting and operational usage across the identified departments.

In 2017 Safran Transmission Systems implemented SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, deploying a centralized planning and consolidation capability classified in the EPM category. The SAP Business Planning and Consolidation rollout was driven from the Central Management Control and Treasury organization, aligning planning, consolidation and cash management under a single application.
The implementation covered configuration of budget, forecast and five year Medium Term Plan workflows, consolidation processes for French GAAP and IFRS, cash flow modeling and profitability analysis. Project activities included definition of functional specifications, management of testing and acceptance, end user training, and both technical and functional administration by the internal control and treasury team.
Operational integration included a direct reliance on transactional and analytical data maintained in SAP, supporting monthly landing of accounts and coordinated close activities with the Financial Director and the Chief Accountant. Reporting and presentation production was structured to feed the COMEX and the holding company, with consolidation outputs and planning packs produced for Management General and Holding.
Governance was formalized through centralized ownership in the Head of Central Management Control and Treasury, who managed a four person team responsible for administration of the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation environment and for coordinating forecasting cycles across the company. The implementation also supported targeted financial analyses such as sale or closure profitability studies and after sales service development scenarios used in management and board level deliberations.

In 2015, Safran Transmission Systems implemented Dassault Enovia PLM to standardize engineering data and product development workflows across its mechanical power transmission programs. The deployment used Product Lifecycle Management capabilities in Dassault Enovia PLM and aligned with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to improve the efficiency of design and engineering programs within the Safran group.
The implementation focused on core Product Lifecycle Management functional modules, including CAD data management, digital mock up for 3D design review, bill of materials and configuration management, engineering change control, and document versioning. Dassault Enovia PLM was configured to enforce lifecycle states and version control for design artifacts, and to support structured design review and approval workflows used by engineering teams.
Operational coverage included design, R and D and manufacturing engineering groups within Safran Transmission Systems and the Hispano-Suiza mechanical power transmission unit, bringing product engineering and program teams onto a single PLM platform. The implementation integrated PLM workflows with the company CAD toolchain and engineering deliverables in order to centralize master product definitions and streamline cross functional traceability between design intent and configuration baselines.
Governance was defined around engineering change processes and configuration baselines, with PLM enforced approval gates and role based access to support compliance and program control. The stated objective of the Dassault Enovia PLM deployment was to increase efficiency of design and engineering programs while providing a single source of product truth for mechanical power transmission systems.
