In 2010, Sage Group (The) PLC implemented Sitecore CMS. The Sitecore CMS deployment was positioned as the enterprise Web Content Management platform to support ecommerce architecture and high availability public websites for Sage.
The implementation configured core Sitecore CMS capabilities such as content authoring, digital asset management, personalization, and ecommerce workflow integration, alongside cloud services designed for highly available sites. Hosting was split between internal Sage data centers and public cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure and Salesforce, to provide redundancy and scale for customer facing properties.
Integrations were built to link Sitecore CMS to billing and subscription system Zuora, CRM platforms Salesforce and SAP CRM, and marketing automation Eloqua, enabling end to end commerce and marketing workflows. The program was also deeply involved in designing, building, and maintaining business systems solutions for Sage NA, ensuring the Sitecore CMS implementation supported regional business processes and commerce use cases.
Project execution assembled and managed multiple onshore and offshore teams, with structured collaboration among business analysts, architects, developers of varied backgrounds, and the PMO. Governance emphasized coordinated delivery and ongoing operations, encouraging cross functional teamwork to sustain the Sitecore CMS Web Content Management estate.

In 2014, Sage Group (The) PLC deployed SAP CRM to manage leads and opportunities and to standardize front office customer engagement processes. The deployment targeted CRM capabilities across Web and traditional marketing, eCommerce, sales, subscriptions, customer service and support, contact center operations, and customer and channel partner portals.
SAP CRM was configured to support leads and opportunities management and to interoperate with marketing automation workflows, with explicit design and systems work for Eloqua Marketing Automation integration. The project included sales process redesign and systems transition activities for subscription sales, and configuration work to align CRM lead management with subscription billing and order orchestration patterns.
Integrations and adjacent platform projects were formal parts of the program, examples include subscription billing transition work from SAP to Zuora and a CRM platform change to SalesForce referenced in program roadmaps. The IT organization also delivered a conversion of eight sales, support, and customer service contact centers and administrative sites to the Cisco telephony platform, aligning telephony routing with SAP CRM case and opportunity records.
A centralized team of Business Analysts and Business Process Consultants led business readiness and governance, conducting process development, fit gap analysis, change management, train the trainer programs, integration and end user testing, and system cutover support. Request management and governance were operated to advise the PMO and technical resource managers on priorities, portfolio alignment, and business impact analysis, while internal account management services provided executive liaison and IT Business Partner counsel to customer service and customer experience leaders.
