In 2015, Saigon Co.op implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment established core financial management capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to support the supermarket chain's accounting, reconciliation, and treasury workflows.
In 2022 Saigon Co.op expanded its data architecture by deploying Oracle Autonomous Database for analytics and data warehousing and Oracle Analytics Cloud on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, integrating those services with Oracle E-Business Suite, the Retail Merchandising System, and the Loyalty Management System. The implemented architecture uses ADW as a cloud native analytics repository for data ingestion, modeling, preparation, and enrichment, while Oracle Analytics Cloud provides visualization and collaboration layered on top of the warehouse.
The deployment covers a nationwide retail network of more than 100 supermarkets and 600 stores, consolidating transactional and customer touchpoint data to improve forecasting, analytics reporting, service quality, and management efficiency. ADW's machine learning driven, self managing database capabilities were selected for performance, availability, and built in security, enabling a single source of truth across finance, merchandising, and loyalty data.
KPMG in Vietnam implemented the OCI data warehousing project during the pandemic, completing the deployment in four months using remote working models and rapid provisioning of OCI resources. The integrated environment gives management improved ability to analyze changing consumer buying patterns and to predict consumption trends during peak holiday seasons, while governance and security controls are enforced through the Oracle Analytics Cloud deployment.

In 2020, Saigon Co.op implemented an In-House POS as the core of an OMNI Channel initiative to standardize pricing and promotions across more than 400 Co.opmart supermarkets and stores. The In-House POS is categorized as Point Of Sale and was deployed to unify in-store checkout with an online shopping capability for Saigon Co.op's retail and e-commerce operations.
The implementation delivered a POS Web App and a Mobile App that can run independently on the internet, a strengthened search engine, and centralized data synchronization to ensure consistent pricing and promotions across sites. Functional capabilities explicitly included omni-channel order management, catalog and promotion synchronization, customer account handling, and a search subsystem tuned for retail product discovery.
Coffeemug Technology Solutions acted as technical partner and business analyst, architecting a high availability and scalability architecture to handle operational scale reported as 10k CCU, 500k+ products, and 6M+ case records. Integrations focused on synchronizing store point of sale endpoints with the online channel and central catalog services, covering sales, inventory reconciliation, and customer-facing order fulfillment across Saigon Co.op's nationwide store network in Vietnam.
Governance and rollout were informed by Coffeemug's business analysis, defining required modules, data flows, and operational handoffs between store teams and e-commerce operations. Achievements called out by the engagement include a successfully built and applied OMNI Channel system, synchronized data across supermarkets, improved search performance, and delivery of a Mobile App and POS Web App capable of independent internet operation.

Operational coverage explicitly targeted forecasting, analytics reporting, customer behavior analysis, service quality monitoring, and management efficiency across corporate and store operations.
KPMG in Vietnam served as the implementation partner and executed the project during pandemic constraints, completing the data warehousing and Oracle Analytics Cloud deployment in four months with remote work during lockdowns. Governance measures emphasized built in security and centralized data governance to enable controlled access to analytics, support an analytics driven culture, and provide management with consolidated, auditable insights.
Stated outcomes included improved reporting and analysis, the ability to predict consumption trends during peak holiday seasons, and access to high availability, performance, agility, and built in security for analytics workloads through Oracle Analytics Cloud and the Autonomous Database on OCI.
