In 2012, Sapura Drilling implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to address ERP Financial requirements. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment focused on the FICO modules and was executed under SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd responsibilities for the engagement.
Workstreams included consolidating chart of accounts through a console mapping from Sapura SAP 4.6c and Kencana Symphony CoA structures into the SKPB CoA, and designing Profit Center, Cost Center and Company Code to support the new chart structure. Data migration was performed using LSMW to upload required financial data. The team created Financial Statement output formatted to match the audited report layout, ensuring reporting consistency with audit templates.
The implementation impacted finance and accounting business functions, establishing cost accounting and profit center reporting within the ERP Financial environment. Project go live support was provided to stabilize transactional processing and reporting, and the configuration work established governance points for financial statement generation and statutory aligned reporting.

In 2019 Sapura Drilling implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform to centralize employee master data and support the annual HR business plan for headcount and personnel cost reporting. The implementation supported onshore and offshore employee lifecycle processes and included structured rollout and training across Angola, Thailand, Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore to align local HR operations with group directions.
The deployment configured core employee central capabilities including employee lifecycle management, leave management, performance management, and talent management modules, with standardized letter and report templates. Project activities included documentation of system requirements and specifications, coordination of functional testing and test scenario planning, development of user manuals, and the creation of SOPs, process flows and checklists to govern daily operations.
Operational integration work focused on HR analytics and reporting, extracting data for board, monthly, quarterly and annual stakeholder presentations and confidential reports for the SVP and General Manager Human Resources. Data remediation and synchronization efforts were executed across SAP and Compass Crewing to ensure data accuracy and integrity, and HR system change requests were managed to reflect business operation and policy changes.
Governance and process control were formalized through process compliance audits and data audits across systems, resolution of data discrepancies, and rollout of change management activities to support HR transformation. The HR team retained responsibility for end to end performance management delivery and for developing mandatory, job related training for drilling frontline operations personnel, while also traveling to field locations to implement new system processes and train end users.

In 2012, Sapura Drilling implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Plant Maintenance (PM) to standardize maintenance operations at its fabrication yard. The deployment concentrated on establishing consistent Plant Maintenance process controls and structured work management for onshore fabrication and rig support teams.
The implementation configured core Plant Maintenance capabilities including equipment master records, maintenance notifications, maintenance orders and preventive maintenance plans, enabling structured work order lifecycles and maintenance scheduling. Project aligned configurations supported maintenance tasks tied to time based and condition based triggers typical of Plant Maintenance workflows.
As part of the rollout, SAP training and guidelines were delivered for the Materials Management MM and Project System PS modules to end users in the fabrication yard, with emphasis on materials reservation, goods movements, spare parts replenishment and the handoff between maintenance work orders and project milestones. Training focused on cross module transaction flows such as reservation to purchase requisition sequences and maintenance order postings, aligning PM transactions with MM inventory controls and PS project costing processes.
Operational governance introduced role based authorizations for maintenance planners, craft supervisors and warehouse users, defined work order approval steps and standardized master data practices for equipment and BOMs. System configuration and user guidance were centered on consistent maintenance planning, parts issue and project coordination across maintenance, materials and project teams in the fabrication yard.
