| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2008 | 2008 |
In 2008, SCA implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The Sweden based manufacturing company SCA, with 3400 employees and revenue 1735000000, deployed the application to consolidate core finance and accounting processes across its corporate finance organization.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation focused on standard Financial Accounting and Controlling capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and asset accounting, configured to support statutory reporting and period end close workflows. Configuration attention centered on company code structures, chart of accounts harmonization and automation of recurring financial processes typical for an ERP Financial deployment.
Operational coverage concentrated on corporate finance and accounting functions, centralizing transactional posting, intercompany accounting and statutory ledgers within SAP ERP ECC 6.0. The program drew on working knowledge of SAP R/3, APO and BW to inform configuration decisions and to shape training, while maintaining the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance as the primary finance system.
Governance established role based authorizations, financial control points and change management processes to sustain configuration governance and release management. Training and knowledge transfer emphasized ECC operational procedures and finance workflow standardization to embed the ERP Financial platform into SCA finance operations.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Concur Travel | Travel Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013 SCA implemented SAP Concur Travel as its centralized Travel Management solution. The SAP Concur Travel deployment was contracted through SCA's global sourcing organization and executed in close coordination with the Software Asset Manager and cross-functional IT sourcing teams.
The implementation configured core Travel Management capabilities including travel booking and itinerary management, expense capture and T&E reporting, approval routing and travel policy enforcement, and automated expense workflow to support corporate travel and finance processes. SAP Concur Travel was positioned to support corporate travel policy compliance and to standardize approval and reconciliation workflows across business units.
Contract negotiations for SAP Concur Travel were managed alongside enterprise sourcing activities for other major applications, reflecting an enterprise sourcing cadence rather than a point solution approach. Operational coverage was aligned with global stakeholders and procurement functions, and the Concur contract negotiation was executed as part of broader sourcing responsibilities that spanned Workplace, Infrastructure, and Software & Applications.
Governance changes accompanied the deployment, as SCA transferred sourcing responsibility from IT to a Global Sourcing department and established an IT Sourcing governance framework to manage vendor relationships and contract terms. Those sourcing capabilities supported several large IT sourcing projects and the broader sourcing organization reported €13M in cost reductions from delivered sourcing initiatives.
