MedHOK Legacy MHK CareProminence Medical Care Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, SCAN implemented MHK CareProminence to support its Medical Care Management initiatives, centering on case management and quality risk data workflows. The engagement positioned SCAN, MHK CareProminence, and Medical Care Management in a direct relationship where the application was used to capture case-level activity and support CMS and Medicare Star metrics reporting. The deployment emphasized a data-centric architecture, with MHK CareProminence front-end extracts mapped to back-end extract files and persisted into an enterprise data warehouse. Technical work included design and creation of SQL scripts to build EDW tables and views, and specification of SSIS packages to automate ETL processing, with SSRS and Tableau used for report and dashboard consumption. Integrations were implemented with CMS and Medicare Star metrics data sources, and the project delivered explicit mappings from application front-end columns to final EDW SQL tables and columns. Operational coverage spanned reporting, analytics, and data science across business units, and the implementation required coordinated remediation of source data issues with internal and external teams to ensure data fidelity for star reporting and quality metrics. Governance and rollout activities included production of SDLC documentation for business sponsor approval, detailed technical documentation to guide offshore SSIS development, creation of data dictionary mapping documents, and new process and form templates for the reporting team. Training materials and user documentation were created for report writers and business super users, and test case artifacts such as TCER validation cases were established to support ongoing data and report validation.
