In 2019 Schnucks Markets implemented Origami Risk Claims Administration to centralize Insurance Claims Management for Workers Compensation and General Liability workflows. The deployment established Origami Risk Claims Administration as the enterprise claims system used to record incidents, adjudicate claims, and generate regulatory and executive reporting.
Configuration work focused on claims intake and adjudication workflows, OSHA recordable determination, and financial tracking of incurred expenditures. The system was configured to support high volume reporting cadence, including weekly operational reports and monthly, quarterly and yearly executive summaries, and to surface OSHA specific flags used by the Claims Technical Administrator for case review.
Operational scope included statewide regulatory reporting for self insured Workers Compensation across Missouri Illinois Mississippi and Indiana, support for assigned Adjusters and the Risk Management function, and direct monthly status delivery to the Director of Risk Management. The implementation supported detailed OSHA compliance processes, including research on over 200 COVID cases to determine OSHA recordability and an executive DART injury rating report to track days away restricted or transferred cases.
Governance was run through a Claims Technical Administrator acting as System Administrator for Origami Risk Claims Administration who maintained OSHA reporting, state submission requirements for annual renewal and departmental service standards. Processes were formalized to ensure consistent production of high volume reports and to maintain adherence to state regulations and OSHA guidelines.
