FIS Global Legacy FIS Integrated Payables AP Automation ERP n/a 2014 2015
In 2014, ScottishPower implemented FIS Integrated Payables as its AP Automation application. The deployment placed FIS Integrated Payables at the center of accounts payable processing for the utility, consolidating invoice intake, validation, approval workflows, payment orchestration, and supplier master management within the finance organization. FIS Integrated Payables was configured to support standard AP Automation capabilities, including electronic invoice capture and validation, invoice matching and exception handling, payment file generation and settlement orchestration, and workflow-based approval routing. Configuration work focused on aligning invoice validation rules and exception queues with ScottishPower finance policies, and on provisioning supplier onboarding and payment method profiles to reduce manual processing. Operationally the implementation was supported by an internal FIS-IP team that performed records remediation and operational reconciliation. During that tenure the team analysed and fixed PDOC records and corrected over 10,000 accounts that had missing device issues and were not being billed, indicating integrated operational support for billing and AP data integrity. Governance established invoice approval workflows and exception escalation procedures to embed AP Automation controls into ScottishPower accounts payable operations.

The design emphasized configurable workflows and administrative controls to align benefits rules with corporate policy and to streamline ongoing plan maintenance. Governance established HR benefits administrators and delegated approvers, standardized approval workflows for eligibility changes, and a phased approach to enrollment windows and configuration updates. Training and change activities focused on administrator enablement and employee self service guidance to support adoption of the Sodexo Engage Employee Benefits Platform.
