In 2020, SD Worx implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform to reshape dispersed finance operations. The deployment targeted consolidation of accounting and reconciliation workflows across its international footprint.
The implementation used SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition to establish a single source of financial truth, deploying core financial modules including general ledger, intercompany accounting, consolidation, accounts payable and accounts receivable, along with financial close orchestration and master data harmonization. Configuration emphasized a standardized chart of accounts, centralized posting rules and automation for intercompany flows. Workflows were instrumented to support faster close cycles and consistent period-end processes for finance and accounting teams.
Integrations consolidated multiple local accounting applications and databases into the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition instance, removing siloed connections and centralizing ledger and reconciliation data. Operational coverage extended across 14 countries with finance, consolidation and accounting teams transitioned to the centralized system. The cloud public architecture provided real-time finance reporting and a consolidated ledger for cross-border consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
Delaware served as the system integrator for the rollout, coordinating configuration, testing and country cutovers, and instituting centralized finance governance and standardized operating procedures. The program explicitly achieved a 50 percent reduction in time for intercompany reconciliations as it harmonized processes and data flows.
