In 2019 Semantic Scholar implemented Ai2 Semantic Scholar on its public Website, embedding Ai2 Semantic Scholar discovery and search capabilities into the organization’s web properties. The deployment centered on exposing scholarly search, paper detail pages, author profiles, and citation-aware relevance across site content to support research discovery workflows for external users.
Configuration work included instrumenting the Ai2 Semantic Scholar search surface for site-facing queries, integrating REST-style retrieval calls into page templates, and configuring indexing cadence and metadata mapping to align internal content schemas with the application’s document model. Functional modules implemented included full-text and metadata search, citation graph linking, relevance ranking, and author and paper profile rendering, consistent with common scholarly search and discovery capabilities.
