In 2012, SendGrid implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to replace QuickBooks as it built out scalability for rapid global growth. The Oracle NetSuite ERP deployment served as SendGrid's ERP Financial backbone supporting finance and accounting operations at the Boulder, Colo. headquartered company.
NetSuite Professional Services implemented the core ERP and financials system, configuring general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reporting capabilities consistent with ERP Financial functional workflows. The implementation emphasized configurable financial reporting, removing spreadsheets as the primary consolidation tool. SendGrid licensed NetSuite OneWorld to enable multi-subsidiary accounting and currency management in advance of international launches.
Operational coverage focused on finance and accounting processes that previously required manual reconciliation between QuickBooks and Excel, streamlining transaction consolidation and month end reporting. The move reduced reliance on manual data movement between QuickBooks and spreadsheets by centralizing transactional and financial close workflows within Oracle NetSuite ERP. This architecture provided a single cloud ERP instance configured for multi-entity bookkeeping under NetSuite OneWorld.
The project aligned with a period of rapid company growth, noting 142 percent revenue growth between 2011 and 2012, and positioned SendGrid for international subsidiary launches. SendGrid gained flexibility to build customized financial reports directly in Oracle NetSuite ERP, eliminating prior manual reporting steps.

The Google Workspace (Formerly Google G-Suite) implementation centers on Collaboration capabilities typical for the category, including Gmail for corporate email, Google Calendar for scheduling, Google Drive for centralized file storage, Docs Sheets and Slides for collaborative authoring, and Meet for real-time conferencing. Configuration is oriented around centralized domain management and the Google Admin console for user provisioning, access control and policy enforcement, which are standard functional elements of Google Workspace.
Operational coverage appears to be company-wide across SendGrid employees, supporting business functions such as IT administration, engineering collaboration, marketing content creation and sales enablement. Governance is expected to use role-based admin controls, account lifecycle processes and native Workspace retention and sharing controls to manage access and compliance within the Collaboration environment.
