In 2021, Shadow PC Gaming implemented SAP Business ByDesign as its ERP Financial system to centralize accounting, consolidation, and statutory reporting across its French and US operations. The implementation was delivered in partnership with Sileron and focused on bringing core finance processes under a unified cloud ERP Financial instance.
SAP Business ByDesign was provisioned as a centralized cloud financial application and configured for core general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and statutory consolidation aligned to IFRS. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts harmonization between French and US subsidiaries, monthly closing sequencing, and internal control checkpoints to increase the reliability of financial reporting.
The deployment operationalized the internalization of the accounting organization and the integration of account maintenance for acquired companies, covering the Group Controller and finance teams in Paris and Mountain View. Operational scope included tax and VAT declaration workflows, cash flow planning and payment management, and management of relationships with auditors, accountants, banks, suppliers, social organizations, and tax administrations in France and the US.
Governance and process transformation were led from the Group Controller office, introducing consolidated reporting workflows, documented internal controls, and repeatable monthly closing procedures. SAP Business ByDesign supported consolidation of accounts according to IFRS and was used to produce stakeholder reporting during the collective recovery procedure in 2021, while established reporting controls contributed to improving operational management.
