| Workday | Infor Lawson | Workday Financial Management | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2021 | 2023 |
In 2021, Sharp HealthCare implemented Workday Financial Management as its primary ERP Financial system, initiating a companywide transition from Infor Lawson to Workday Financial Management. The deployment targeted core finance and supply chain accounting functions, aligning the ERP Financial platform with Materials Management and Finance organizational domains.
The implementation focused on standard financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, procurement and inventory accounting, and financial reporting capabilities typical of an ERP Financial deployment. Workday Financial Management was configured to support inventory valuation and procurement workflows, and reporting was instrumented to provide decision support for supply chain cost initiatives.
Data migration and system cutover activities included direct transition work from Infor Lawson, extensive data integrity checks, and reconciliation routines. Operational execution incorporated a full physical inventory audit, performed to validate migrated supply chain item records and to reconcile inventory balances between the outgoing Infor Lawson environment and Workday Financial Management.
Governance and process changes were centered in Materials Management and Finance, with audit findings and analytics presented to the Director Materials Management to guide inventory management and supply optimization. Generated reports provided intelligence for cost savings initiatives in Supply Chain operations, and data integrity workstreams were formalized to sustain ongoing inventory and financial accuracy.

| Workday | Infor Lawson HCM | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2021 | 2022 |
In 2021, Sharp HealthCare implemented Workday HCM to consolidate Core HR functions. The deployment targeted enterprise HR operations supporting approximately 19,000 employees, centralizing employee records and organizational management into Workday HCM.
Configuration work emphasized Core HR capabilities, with implementations aligned to employee data and position management, onboarding and lifecycle workflows, benefits and absence administration, and talent management interoperability that Core HR platforms typically provide. Sharp HealthCare IT staff conducted systems analysis, stakeholder consulting, and project management to define requirements, draft functional specifications, and execute iterative build and enhancement cycles for Workday HCM.
The program included data conversion and migration activities from Infor Lawson HCM to preserve master HR data integrity during cutover to Workday HCM. Integration efforts focused on establishing reliable data feeds and interface stabilization for HR downstream and upstream consumers, paired with testing and reconciliation to validate migrated records and transactional consistency.
Governance and rollout were managed through structured requirements workshops, change control, and phased implementation governance led by IT and HR stakeholders. Operational ownership transitioned to HR and IT teams with defined support and enhancement workflows to maintain and evolve Workday HCM functionality.

| HealthEdge Software | Legacy | HealthRules Payer | Core Admin Processing System | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Sharp HealthCare implemented HealthRules Payer as a Core Admin Processing System. The San Diego project aimed to improve enrollment and claims processing efficiency and to enable faster implementation of enrollment and eligibility changes through a more flexible administration platform.
The implementation covered core modules for enrollment and eligibility, claims processing, coordination of benefits, accounts receivable, ID card generation, and provider, customer, and member services. Workstreams included detailed EDI mapping and testing for 834 Health Plan Enrollment/Disenrollment, 835 Payment/Remittance, 837 Claim/Encounter, and 270/271 Eligibility Inquiry and Response, with ANSI X12 transaction syntax and HIPAA code set support including ICD-9 and ICD-10.
Technical and data activities included logical data modeling, class diagrams, SQL filtering and data mapping, and conversion testing of Medicaid membership data. The team built and executed system and unit test cases, performed manual parallel testing between IDX and the new administration environment via CureIS, and validated EDI 837 claims for dental billing scenarios.
Integrations and operational coordination referenced IDX for member data, CureIS for migration and parallel runs, ClarEDI for defect prioritization and EDI analysis, JIRA for defect tracking, and Tableau for process mapping and dashboard reporting. Operational scope spanned enrollment, claims, provider services, billing and QA teams at the San Diego site, with business users and project management collaborating on requirements, UAT, and test planning.
Governance and rollout processes emphasized test planning, user acceptance testing, QA auditing and certification of documentation, standardized work processes for member migration, end-user functional documentation, and an issues log to track resolution. The project explicitly positioned HealthRules Payer as a Core Admin Processing System intended to deliver improved enrollment and claims processing efficiency and greater agility for enrollment and eligibility changes.
