In 2018, Sheridan Production deployed IFS Merrick – Carte (formerly P2 Carte) as its primary Analytics and BI application to support engineering, geology, and production reporting workflows. The implementation served as an analytics and reporting layer used by field users and business units, and Sheridan Production IFS Merrick – Carte Analytics and BI supported production accounting and well-level data consolidation for operational teams.
The deployment included administration of the broader P2 Merrick suite, specifically ProCount, Carte, ProArt, and eVin, with configuration work focused on production accounting, inventory and asset analytics, and engineering data validation. Technical work included creation and execution of SQL scripts and queries against SQL Server and Oracle databases using SQL Plus, SSMS, and Toad to extract data dumps, validate back-end data and build scheduled reports.
Operational coverage extended across engineering, geophysical, field data capture, production and revenue applications, with the same administration footprint covering Peloton applications including MasterView, WellView, SiteView, and ProdView. The environment required ongoing management and monitoring of multiple data flows and scheduled reporting tasks, supporting internal and external reporting consumers and field data capture processes.
Governance and operational control rested with system administration processes, including license management for 35 plus applications, user and field support, setup and data configuration, and change impact analysis. Testing and release activities were executed against system development life cycle and project management life cycle methodologies, with test scenarios updated based on requirement changes and back-end validation driven by SQL-based test data extractions.
