Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2012 2012
In 2012, Shorenstein implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to centralize core finance and payroll workflows. Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to address ERP Financial requirements across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll interfacing, benefits accounting, and expense reimbursement processing. The implementation included configuration of general ledger structures and accrual posting routines, payroll interface mappings, and reimbursement processing inside NetSuite. Functional coverage aligned to ERP Financial practices, including payroll expense recognition, commission processing, and benefits administration workflows, with report generation supported via Report Writer. Integrations were explicitly maintained with ADP for full cycle payroll processing, supporting bi weekly, semi monthly, and monthly payroll runs for up to 1,700 employees, and with Great Plains for posting reconciled payroll benefits and accrual journal entries into the GL account for month end closing. Operational ownership spanned finance, payroll, and HR functions, with NetSuite serving as the system of record for reimbursements and selected payroll related transactions. Governance and month end process work included reconciliation and posting of payroll benefits and accruals into the general ledger via Great Plains, and ad hoc support for A/P and A/R activities within the finance department. Day to day operational procedures emphasized consistent close cadence, payroll interface controls, and benefits administration workflows under the ERP Financial instance of Oracle NetSuite ERP.

Yardi Legacy Yardi Voyager Real Estate Property Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Shorenstein Properties implemented Yardi Voyager 7S to centralize asset, finance and budget information on a cloud-based Real Estate Property Management platform. The deployment of Yardi Voyager emphasized a software as a service architecture that is mobile-enabled, tablet-compatible and browser-based, enabling access to fund, property and lease data across the organization. The Yardi Voyager deployment incorporated multiple Yardi modules to support end to end operations. Yardi Investment Management was used to automate investment accounting, performance measurement and investor reporting while providing compliance monitoring and business intelligence. Yardi Procure to Pay was configured to scan invoices into electronic transactions and automate approval workflows through to vendor payment, and Yardi Construction Management was used to track construction job costs against budgets for improved cost control. Operational coverage extended across finance, asset management, procurement, construction and investor relations functions, supporting more than a thousand combined funds, entities, properties and investors managed by Shorenstein. The implementation removed manual data consolidation into separate systems and spreadsheets, enabling automated preparation of reports and monthly investor distributions and placing asset information from an entire fund down to individual leases at employee fingertips. Governance and process changes centered on a single stack approach that automated approval workflows and investor reporting cycles, reducing reliance on discrete point solutions. Outcomes reported by Shorenstein included faster compilation of investor information, improved investor relations and lower IT costs, with the platform also positioned to reduce errors and operational risk through integrated data and automated processes.
