In 2016, Siemens Czech Republic implemented Serrala FinanceSuite as its AP Automation solution. The deployment targeted the finance organization based in Prague and supported core accounts payable and credit workflows used by an accounting services team of about 15 specialists within a broader 7,000 employee footprint.
The Serrala FinanceSuite implementation encompassed invoice capture and validation, approval workflow orchestration, vendor payment scheduling and automated posting interfaces to the financial ledger, aligning with accounts payable functional controls. Configuration work mapped posting rules to support fixed assets postings, intercompany accounting activities and the execution of monthly, quarterly and yearly closings carried out by Siemens finance personnel.
Integrations were implemented with the subledger Hanse Orga and the general ledger RunBOOK to deliver end to end transaction flow from invoice processing into GL posting and reconciliation. Governance for the rollout included documented audit artifacts, participation of an Independent Assessor for RIC Controls, daily communication with internal customers and regular reporting to sustain close and control processes.
