SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2012
In 2011, Silicon Labs implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial solution across its global finance and controlling functions. The deployment targeted centralized financial accounting and controlling for Silicon Laboratories’ manufacturing operations, establishing company code and business area structures to support global statutory and management reporting. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation focused on FI and CO modules, with configuration of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and profitability and cost management capabilities aligned to the ERP Financial category. FI configuration work included company code setup, business area and document control, fiscal year maintenance, chart of accounts finalization, GL master data and tolerance groups, foreign currency handling, park and hold document processes, recurring entries and finalization of account determinations. AP and AR capabilities covered vendor and customer master data configuration, automatic payment program, invoice and credit memo processing, check management, down payment processing, dunning, terms of payment and open item management. CO work encompassed cost element grouping, cost center hierarchy, internal order and production order configuration, settlement profiles, assessment cycles, periodic reposting and CO-PA mappings for transferring overhead to profitability segments. Integrations included tight coupling with SAP MM and SD to support invoice verification, purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash flows. Asset Accounting configuration addressed organization structure, chart of depreciation, depreciation areas and keys, linkage to GL valuation methods, depreciation runs, acquisitions and write-offs, with reporting in the SAP information system. Data migration used LSMW to transport Customer, Vendor and GL master data into SAP and to upload opening balances via the Account Assignment Model. Operational coverage spanned finance, controlling, asset accounting and interfaces to procurement and sales across global sites. Governance followed an ASAP methodology with AS-IS analysis and a finalized Business Blueprint, then configuration, unit testing and FI and CO user acceptance testing in development and Q&A environments. Transports were managed to move configuration and master data through landscapes, and user training with formal sign off was part of the rollout controls. Reporting and period close processes, including year-end closing and account assignment for settlements, were implemented within SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support ongoing operational controls.

Workday Legacy Workday HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Silicon Labs implemented Workday HCM across 18 countries, consolidating a fragmented infrastructure of HR tools and processes. The deployment targeted Core HR as the central system of record and encompassed all Workday HCM modules to unify workforce data and standardize global HR transactions. The implementation included a defined application architecture and security model for Workday HCM, with configuration focused on global business processes, role based access, and workforce lifecycle workflows. The program emphasized consolidation of master person data and the design of an HR Data Hub to enable immediate people analytics for senior leaders. Integrations were explicitly designed between Workday HCM and recruiting, benefits, payroll related vendors and finance systems, including Jobvite, Fidelity, Schwab, UnitedHealth and SAP Finance. Integration patterns emphasized system to system data flows for candidate and benefits eligibility, finance payroll feeds and consolidated reporting into the HR Data Hub. Governance and operating model changes accompanied the technical rollout, with data governance policies and processes established to ensure data consistency, quality and integrity. Silicon Labs implemented a shared HR technology support model leveraging ServiceNow and Jira cloud tools, and assembled a global HR technology team based in the United States, Europe and India to manage ongoing implementations and roadmap delivery in collaboration with HR, IT and Finance. The HR Data Hub provided immediate people analytics to senior leaders, and the ServiceNow and Jira based support model was implemented to improve user experience and enable measurable workload tracking. Workday HCM now serves as the Core HR backbone for Silicon Labs global HR operations and cross functional workforce processes.
