In 2014, SimpliVity implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to centralize the management, tracking, and reporting of worldwide Manufacturing Owned Inventory. Oracle NetSuite ERP in the ERP Financial category was established as the system of record for inventory valuation and as the transactional finance interface supporting monthly reconciliation with Finance.
Configuration work concentrated on inventory management, consigned material ordering workflows for a Meet In The Channel sales model, reverse logistics processing, and spare parts planning. Functional capabilities implemented included inventory ledger and lot tracking, order management for consignment and proof of concept product, RMA and CSAT return handling, repair and refurbishment scheduling, and stockroom controls to support new product introduction.
Integrations connected NetSuite to factory systems for planning and ordering consigned material and to third party logistics hubs and field service locations for service spare provisioning, with integration partners engaged to operationalize those links. Finance was interfaced for monthly inventory accuracy checks, and the supply chain team led NetSuite ERP integration workstreams and operational handoffs to factory and 3PL partners.
Operational scope encompassed manufacturing stockroom maintenance for raw material support of NPI, order and tracking of proof of concept products, reverse logistics coordination with the factory, and planning of service logistics for 3PL worldwide hubs and FSLs. Governance included establishing departmental NetSuite procedures and training to embed new workflows under supply chain ownership. The deployment supported attainment of ninety nine percent parts availability in support of customer SLA.
