Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its core ERP Financial application for the Medical Specialties Division. The deployment supported finance management for a 95 million dollar division budget spanning 40 business cost centres and approximately 360 FTEs. The Oracle E-Business Suite configuration emphasized Financial modules including General Ledger, Receivables, Payables, Assets, Purchasing and Inventory, configured to support monthly financial close, budgeting, and accounts payable and receivable workflows. Oracle E-Business Suite was used by finance staff for statutory reporting, ledger control, asset management and business case costings. Reporting and analytics were integrated with Cognos powerplay decision support for ad hoc costing analysis and activity reporting, while custom Microsoft Access databases tracked payroll, FTEs and additional clinical activity reports. Clinical activity extraction from the TOPAS system fed inpatient and outpatient performance data into financial comparisons, aligning clinical throughput with cost centre reporting. Operational governance centered on monthly financial report analysis, comparison of current and prior year results, payroll FTE reconciliation and preparation of annual and monthly financial statements, with the Finance and Business Officer developing internal database systems to automate comparison workflows. Prior experience in statutory compliance and financial statement preparation informed controls and reporting processes within the implemented ERP Financial environment.

Ascender Legacy Ascender Preceda Core HR HCM n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital implemented Ascender Preceda. Ascender Preceda was deployed as the hospital's Core HR application to centralize HR and payroll functions for its approximately 5,500 staff across clinical and corporate departments. Configuration work focused on pay cycle rules, award interpretations, and staff classification to align payroll and rostering with hospital shift patterns. The Ascender Preceda deployment coexisted with a medical asset management system developed for Biomedical Engineering and MTP at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, with Preceda serving HR and payroll operations while clinical asset workflows remained in their specialized system. Governance concentrated on HR process alignment, payroll controls, and operational configuration to support hospital payroll schedules and clinical workforce administration.

Elekta Legacy Elekta Mosaiq Patient Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020 Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital implemented Elekta Mosaiq as a Patient Management application to support administrative operations within the Comprehensive Cancer Centre. The deployment timeframe documented for administrative activity spans August 2020 to November 2020, during which Administration Support Officers performed data entry, pre-checking, editing and preparation of correspondence while working directly in MOSAIQ. Configuration and module focus centered on patient demographics maintenance, encounter reconciliation, and document upload and formatting workflows inside Elekta Mosaiq. Recorded functional activities include updating patient demographics, cross-checking patient encounters and uploading correspondence, aligning with core Patient Management capabilities such as record consolidation and document-centric administration. Elekta Mosaiq was used in conjunction with WebPas, EnQuiry, Emdat and Inscribe to cross-check encounter records and synchronize administrative patient information, indicating point integrations for encounter validation and correspondence exchange. Operational coverage concentrated on administrative staff within the Comprehensive Cancer Centre, supporting patient intake verification and post-encounter documentation workflows. Governance emphasized standardized pre-checking and editing procedures executed by administration personnel, embedding Elekta Mosaiq into daily administrative routines and workflow handoffs. The implementation narrative reflects system-level adoption for administrative patient management tasks rather than standalone clinical treatment planning functions.
