In 2014, SNC-Lavalin implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform, replacing Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. The deployment targeted corporate systems supporting HR, Payroll, Finance, Customer Relationship Management and Project Management, with application development and support capacity routed through a team based in Epsom reporting to the Senior Oracle E-Business Product Specialist.
The Oracle E-Business Suite rollout prioritized HR, Payroll and Reward functional modules alongside core financial modules, with technical ownership for design, development, documentation, testing, implementation and application support. Developers were charged with preparing detailed specifications, producing code and owning troubleshooting and issue resolution across the configured modules, emphasizing maintainable customizations and lifecycle governance.
Integrations were an explicit component of the implementation architecture, with ongoing maintenance and development of the integration between Workday HCM and Oracle E-Business Suite, and stated value in Oracle Integration Cloud knowledge for interface orchestration. Operational coverage included corporate HR and payroll operations and extended to finance and CRM data exchanges, requiring coordinated interfaces and synchronization across HR and financial domains.
Governance followed a corporate systems product team model, where the Oracle E-Business Suite Application Developer supported the Senior Product Specialist, the technical corporate systems team, system users and project team members while working with minimal supervision to clarify tasks. Ownership of technical design artifacts, testing protocols and deployment documentation supported change control and ongoing support for the ERP Financial environment.

In 2020, SNC-Lavalin deployed IBM Maximo EAM 7.6 for the Metro Riyadh project, executing a lead implementation that ran from April 2020 to April 2021. The deployment targeted Enterprise Asset Management capabilities to support asset lifecycle, maintenance execution, and supply chain coordination within the project site.
The implementation emphasized technical database assembly and data quality, gathering asset records, failure codes, job plans, routes, preventive maintenance schedules, crews, crafts, and qualification data. Data conversion and migration into IBM Maximo templates was a core task, with bulk uploading of cleansed records into the IBM Maximo system to establish master asset and maintenance registries.
Core IBM Maximo module functionality was configured and validated, including Asset Management, Work Management, and Supply Chain Management. The team provided system administration and earlier life support, conducted application testing against gathered requirements, created security groups and Start Center configurations, and developed workflow processes to operationalize work order and approval flows.
The rollout included user enablement through an e learning module to train Maximo users and a change management configuration process to capture and validate enhancement requests. Requirements were gathered and validated to evolve the Asset Management Information System, aligning configuration and governance with the operational needs of maintenance crews, asset managers, and supply chain personnel on the Metro Riyadh project.
